Company Obligations

Access to Website Services

The Company shall provide all resources available in order to offer the best services to the User and to facilitate his/her access.
As such, the Company will ensure access to the Site 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
However, access may be restricted at the discretion of the Company and its operational or hosting suppliers due to maintenance or other technical reasons. In these specific instances of limited access, the Company will give prior notice to the User and will endeavour to limit the duration of this interruption.
The Company also reserves the right to suspend access to services without being held liable in cases such as attacks on the Site (viruses, malicious intrusions, etc.) which may potentially affect the capacity, security or integrity of processing or data, notice by the Company of the presence of illegal content, a request for suspension or restriction of Site access made by an administrative or judicial authority, or through formal notice from a third party.

Data Security and Confidentiality

Protecting your personal data is extremely important to LAT Lufthansa Aviation Training Switzerland AG, its branch operations and its subsidiaries (hereinafter referred to as “LAT”). In view of this, we would like to inform you below about the data protection principles by which LAT has undertaken to abide in order to ensure that your application is handled with due confidentiality and discretion.

1. User account

Before you apply for a position at LAT online, you will need to register yourself in our Application Management System. When you do so, you will be given a “user account” which will enable you to apply for a specific vacancy or vacancies, or to submit a spontaneous application of your own. Your user account must consist at a minimum of:

Last name

Email address

Your user account will remain active for six months. At the end of this six-month period, you will need to renew your account (if you wish to do so) and reconfirm your acceptance of the terms and conditions of this Data Protection Policy.

If you have an application pending or being processed at the end of this six-month period, your user account will automatically remain active until the completion of the application process concerned. Here, too, however, you will be required to reconfirm your acceptance of the terms and conditions of this Data Protection Policy.

2. Correctness of your data

You hereby confirm that all the data you submit to LAT are correct, complete and truthful. You also acknowledge that any intentionally incorrect or misleading statements or information which you provide in an application, in any interviews or in the course of any assessment process may result in the rejection of your application or, if you have already been subsequently employed by LAT, in action being taken against you under LAT employment law.      

3. Employment agencies

Any employment agencies submitting an electronic job application to LAT are required to include a copy of their general business terms and conditions with every application. If they fail to do so, the application concerned will be regarded as not received, and will not be further processed or pursued.

4. Access to your data

Access to the personal data which you submit to LAT will be limited to those LAT employees dealing directly with your application. This applies both to the persons processing your application and to those assigned to the personnel selection process. If you have applied for a specific position, your data will be made available to the unit advertising the vacancy concerned and to their Human Resources organisation.

If you have submitted a speculative application (i.e. one that does not relate to a specific job vacancy), your application will be placed in a “pool”. Access to this application pool will be available to all personnel within LAT Human Resources.

If you are applying for employment as a flight attendant, you will also be required to provide details of your height and weight in your application. These data will only be made available to those LAT Human Resources units which are responsible for flight attendant recruitment.

LAT may also pass your data on to third parties (such as service providers or recruitment agencies) acting on its behalf, some of whom may be located outside your country of residence. In view of this, you may be contacted by such third parties. Any third parties acting on LAT’s behalf must also meet the most rigorous security requirements, however, to ensure that your data are adequately protected in full compliance with this Data Protection Policy.

5. Use of data

The information you submit to LAT in your user account and/or via any applications you make – be it in oral or written form, and be it during or in connection with the recruitment process (including any assessments or interviews) – will be stored by LAT.

Such data may be used for the following purposes: (i) recruitment, (ii) promotional purposes relating to the recruitment process, (iii) statistics, (iv) personnel administration and (v) management purposes.

LAT would like to draw your attention to the fact that not all countries may have the same legal provisions with regard to data security and data protection as those in your country of residence. LAT will, however, only use your data in accordance with this Data Protection Policy.

6. Data security

LAT and any associated service providers are unable to guarantee that data transmitted electronically cannot be viewed by third parties or be lost in the process. In view of this, LAT cannot accept any liability for any such eventuality.

7. Agreement

By clicking on “Yes, I have read this Data Protection Policy and accept the content thereof”, you confirm your acceptance of the terms and conditions of the present Data Protection Policy. You also confirm your agreement to the processing of the data you submit to LAT (including any sensitive personal data) in accordance with the terms and conditions herein; and you confirm your acknowledgement that LAT does not accept any liability in this regard, and that LAT is also not required to do so by law.

8. Amendments to this policy

LAT will be making every effort to keep its Data Protection Policy in line with current data security and data privacy provisions. In view of this, we advise you to check regularly to ensure that you are fully familiar with the latest version thereof.

User Obligations

The User shall take all necessary measures to ensure the confidentiality and preservation of his/her access code, and to ensure that it is not divulged to any other person.
Neither the Company nor any other company of the Group using the Site shall be held liable for any fraudulent use of the access code.
Operations performed on the Site under the User's login details are deemed to have been carried out on behalf of that User, who assumes liability.
The Site's exclusive purpose is to facilitate the Company's recruitment process. It should be accessible to the User for the sole purpose of enabling him/her to view and apply for vacancies. As such, the User shall refrain, in his/her personal area and the free-text entry areas available on the Site, from any unlawful use, including sending messages or producing recordings of violent, defamatory, or illegal content.
